Brandboxx Almere opened in 2002 with the Dôme, one of the most futuristic buildings in the Netherlands. Due to its unique appearance the Dôme is also called the 'UFO'. The showrooms are grouped in a fivestorey atrium: creating a clear segmentation.

As the number of exhibitors continued to grow, construction of the second phase commenced in May 2006. With the arrival of the square shaped Cube (operational since July 2007), Brandboxx Almere doubled in size bringing the total area of the center to about 35.000 sqm.
